| Reverse description | Elaborately crowned manifold coat of arms displaying the quartered and impaled shields of the Margraviate of Baden-Baden and associated territories, surrounded by the chain of a chivalric order. The date 1704 is divided to either side of the central shield, and the mintmaster's initials IPB appear in the legend. The reverse legend, in Latin, identifies the coin as new silver coinage of Baden. The overall heraldic composition is rendered in a formal Baroque style consistent with German coinage of the early eighteenth century. |
