| Obverse description | Printed in deep red on a cream ground, the obverse is divided into a central text panel flanked by two woodcut-style letterpress vignettes: to the left, a standing man in Tyrolean lederhosen holding a staff, and to the right, a man playing an accordion. The upper portion of the central panel bears the denomination '60 Hl.' within an oval cartouche, below which the Kassenschein text identifies the issuing authority as the Marktgemeinde Lofer, Land Salzburg, with the validity date of 28 February 1921 and facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister, Vizebürgermeister Scholz, Weißbucher, and Gemeinderat Jos. Dankl. The imprint '3. AUFLAGE' (third printing) appears at the foot of the central panel. |

A central circular medallion contains a full-length portrait of a Tyrolean Landesverteidiger (home defender) of 1809 in period costume with a feathered hat and pipe, set against an Alpine backdrop, with the inscription 'LANDESVERTEIDIGER 1809' curving along the interior left edge. Lofer is a small market town in the Salzburg district of Pinzgau, and this 60 Heller note is a product of the postwar Notgeld wave that swept rural Austria between 1919 and 1922. With the old Habsburg currency system in collapse and small coins vanishing from circulation, municipalities — however modest — were legally permitted to issue their own emergency scrip. Lofer took that option.
The JPR0560c designation indicates a third variant within the Lofer series, suggesting the town issued multiple rounds or designs during the Notgeld period rather than a single run.
