Obverse description Vertically oriented notgeld note printed in dark carmine-red on a pale blue-grey guilloche underprint. At the top, an oval cartouche bears the legend "GEMEINDE KLAUS" arching above a central numeral "60" in bold relief, with "HELLER" inscribed on a banner below; the cartouche is flanked by stylised Alpine flowers. The central vignette, set within a beaded oval frame, presents a detailed landscape view of the Klaus valley with buildings, forested slopes, and a dramatic rocky mountain backdrop rendered in fine letterpress engraving. A second denomination panel at the foot repeats "60 HELLER" within an ornate scrollwork surround. The notation "3. Auflage" (3rd issue) appears in the lower left margin.

Reverse description Plain cream paper reverse printed entirely in green, enclosed within a decorative border of wavy guilloche bands and dotted rules. The central text block, set in a German blackletter (Fraktur) typeface, states the legal authority for issuance under a municipal council resolution of 15 June 1920 and the conditions for redemption at the Gemeindekanzlei up to a maximum of K 20.— per presentation. Three manuscript signatures appear below, identified by printed role labels: Kassier (cashier) at left, Bürgermeister (mayor) at centre, and Bürgermeister-Stellvertreter (deputy mayor) at right. The printer's imprint "Entwurf u. Druck v. F. Seitenberg (Inh. K.W. Müller) Wien III." is printed in small type at the foot.
