| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by a central oval portrait vignette of Andreas Hofer (1767–1810), the Tyrolean patriot, rendered in a woodcut-style engraving within a laurel wreath frame, with the date '1809' below. To the left, Gothic-script text states the denomination and issuer's liability; to the right, the redemption clause with validity date '31. Dez. 1920' is set out in two columns. Facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister and the Kassier appear at lower right, and the ornate outer border echoes the chain-link guilloche pattern consistent with the obverse. |

Igls is a small village above Innsbruck — today best known as a bobsled venue — and its Kurgemeinde, the local spa authority, issued notgeld during the acute coin shortage that gripped Austria from 1919 onward. These hyperlocal issues were often printed by whoever was nearest and cheapest, and Wagner in Innsbruck was the obvious choice for the Tirolean alpine communities. The 60 Heller denomination sits in an odd gap that reflects real transactional need rather than round-number convenience.
