| Obverse description | The obverse consists of a Spanish Republican postage stamp affixed to a round cardboard disc, the stamp printed in blue ink in intaglio style. At center, a three-quarter portrait of Fermín Salvoechea (1842–1907), the Andalusian anarchist and Republican figure, facing slightly left, wearing spectacles and a beard, rendered in fine engraved detail. The denomination 60 CTS appears at upper left, flanked by the legend CORREOS at upper right and FERMIN SALVOECHEA vertically along the left border, with the birth and death years 1842 and 1907 incorporated. The legend REPÚBLICA ESPAÑOLA runs along the lower border of the stamp. The perforated edges of the stamp are visible against the exposed cardboard surround. |
