| Obverse description | The obverse features the Portuguese coat of arms superimposed upon an armillary sphere at center, rendered in fine relief. The shield displays the traditional quinas (five escutcheons arranged in a cross) and the castle-studded bordure of Portugal, surmounted by a mural crown. The legend TIMOR arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination $60 appears in large numerals along the lower field. Small floral ornaments flank the central device at left and right, and a fine beaded border runs along the coin's rim. |
