| Obverse description | Central sunburst or flaming pearl motif occupies the middle of the field, rendered with radiating lines. Four large Chinese characters are arranged symmetrically around the central device in the four quadrants, reading 保大寳鑑 (Bao Dai Bao Chien), the reign title and ceremonial designation of Emperor Bao Dai. The coin is bordered by a beaded inner circle and an outer rim. The overall design follows the traditional Vietnamese imperial style with bold, deeply struck calligraphic characters. |
