Obverse description Within a toothed inner circle, the crowned shield of West Friesland bearing two rampant lions passant in pale is centered in the field, with the denomination numeral '6' to the left and the abbreviation 'S' to the right of the arms. The date 1716 appears above the crown in the upper portion of the legend. The circumferential Latin legend reads MO : NO : ORDIN : WEST . FRISIÆ, separated from the field by a beaded border, all struck on a square klippe planchet with clipped corners.
