Obverse description Crowned coat of arms of Luxembourg occupies the centre of the field, flanked by a continuous Latin legend along the periphery. A small angel's head (cherub) is positioned immediately below the shield as an ornamental supporter. The entire design is enclosed within a border of fine pearling. The heraldic shield is surmounted by an elaborate crown with detailed foliate and jewelled elements characteristic of late Habsburg coinage.
