Obverse description Draped and armored bust of King Christian IV facing right, wearing a high ruffled collar, partially enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The royal effigy is rendered in a bold, baroque style characteristic of early 17th-century Danish coinage. A Latin legend encircles the portrait outside the beaded border, identifying the monarch and his title by divine right.
