Obverse description Central shield bearing the Hamburg castle arms — a white three-towered fortress on a red field — supported on either side by a rampant lion in high relief. Above the shield, a large decorative crest composed of a bundle of feathers or palm fronds rises prominently. Below the shield, a scroll cartouche carries the denomination legend '6 SCHIL SPEC', with the mintmaster initials 'O·H·K·' inscribed beneath in the lower field. The circular legend 'HAMBVRGENSIS MONETA NOVA' runs along the outer border, rendered in bold capital Latin letters.
