| Obverse description | Central field displays the heraldic shield of the Archbishopric of Mainz, bearing the distinctive six-spoked wheel of Mainz on a vertically lined background. The shield is surmounted by an electoral hat and flanked on either side by decorative supporters with foliate ornaments. The overall composition is rendered in a simple, functional style typical of late 18th-century German ecclesiastical coinage. No peripheral legend appears on this side. |
