Reverse description Four crowned cruciform shields of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland arranged symmetrically around a central escutcheon bearing a lion rampant of Nassau, the whole forming a cross pattern. The shields are separated by ornate sceptres, and the divided date appears in the upper angles of the cross. A crown surmounts the central arrangement, with the royal cypher interlinked in the angles. The encircling Latin legend runs around the periphery within a beaded border, with the later harp variant distinguishing this issue.
