Reverse description The reverse displays the denomination SIX PENCE in two lines at the centre of the field, surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown rendered in fine detail. Flanking the central inscription is a wreath composed of an olive branch to the left and an oak branch to the right, the two sprays tied together at the base with a ribbon bow. A small decorative ornament separates the denomination from the date, which appears below the wreath in the lower field. The die number 14 appears in small characters just above the date.
