| Obverse description | Printed on white paper with an overall fine guilloche underprint in pink and blue composed of repeated small rosette motifs. The issuer's name STATES OF GUERNSEY is set in bold letterpress at centre, flanked on left and right by circular denomination cartouches each bearing '6d', with triangular ornamental devices above and below each cartouche. A cursive promise-to-pay text and a bold SIXPENCE panel appear centrally, with the date at upper left, serial number repeated at upper right and lower left, and the Treasurer's manuscript signature with the printed designation TREASURER at lower right. |
