| Obverse description | Left-facing crowned effigy of King George VI, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the crown and facial features. The legend encircles the portrait, reading GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR, with the abbreviated PM appearing to the right. The truncation of the bust is cleanly defined, and the design was executed by Percy Metcalfe in a restrained, classical style consistent with British colonial coinage of the period. |
