(Translation: Elizabeth by the Grace of God Queen of England France and Ireland)
Reverse description Quartered royal shield of arms, displaying the fleurs-de-lis of France in the first and fourth quarters and the lions passant guardant of England in the second and third quarters, all set upon a long cross fourchée that extends to the beaded inner circle. The regnal date is split across the upper two quarters of the shield. The encircling Latin legend is divided by the cross, with a mintmark appearing at the top of the cross. An outer toothed border frames the design.
