Obverse description Central field depicts a prancing horse to the left, the heraldic emblem of the Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the mane and musculature. The horse stands on a ground line with a decorated bridle visible. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading the abbreviated titles of the joint dukes Rudolph August and Anthony Ulrich, separated by stops. The overall style is consistent with late 17th-century German provincial minting practice.
