| Obverse description | Crowned quartered heraldic shield displaying the four-fold arms of the Bishopric of Osnabrück and the House of Hanover, encircled by the Order of the Garter. The shield is supported by a lion rampant to the left and a unicorn rampant to the right, rendered in the baroque heraldic style typical of early eighteenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage. No legend appears on the obverse; the composition fills the field with the full armorial achievement. |
