Reverse description A bold ornamental cross divides the field into four quadrants, each containing a heraldic shield: upper left bearing the quartered arms of Castile and León, upper right the striped arms of Austria, lower left the rampant lion of Tyrol, and lower right the diagonal bars of Aragon. The shields are set within a beaded inner circle, and the surrounding Latin legend reads + DVX + BVRGVNDIAE + COMES + TIROLES, proclaiming Ferdinand's titles as Duke of Burgundy and Count of Tyrol. The overall design follows the established Habsburg heraldic convention for Tyrolean coinage of the period.
