| Obverse description | Half-length effigy of Ferdinand I facing right, depicted in royal attire and holding a scepter in his right hand and a sword in his left. The portrait is contained within an inner circle, with a Latin legend running along the outer border reading FERDINANDUS PRINCEPS ET INFANS HISPANIAE, identifying him as Ferdinand, Prince and Infante of Spain. The style is characteristic of early sixteenth-century Habsburg hammered coinage from the Graz mint. |
