Obverse description Central device comprising the Austrian imperial shield bearing the double-headed eagle, surmounted by the Habsburg imperial crown with cross finial, all set within a plain field. A circular Latin legend reading K·K·OESTERREICHISCHE SCHEIDEMÜNZE· runs along the entire periphery, separated from the coin's milled border by a fine inner rim. The heraldic composition is rendered in fine relief, with the eagle's spread wings and the crown's distinctive arched form clearly articulated.
