| Obverse description | Central oval shield bearing the impaled arms of Salzburg and of Archbishop Paris von Lodron, surmounted by an ecclesiastical broad-brimmed hat with pendant tassels. The arms are displayed in baroque style typical of Kipper-period coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the shield, reading MONETA NOVA SALISBURGENSIS, identifying the issue as new money of Salzburg. |
