| Reverse description | The reverse features a large, finely detailed compass rose (wind rose) in high relief, centrally positioned within a raised annular border. The eight-pointed star design is rendered with bevelled facets that accentuate the play of light across the mirror-polished field. The surrounding ring bears the eight principal compass points — N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW — in Latin characters at the cardinal and intercardinal positions, interspersed with graduated tick marks. A small fleur-de-lis or mint mark detail appears at the east position on the inner ring. |
