| Obverse description | At centre, an allegorical figure of a youthful Italia with outstretched arms is depicted within a geometric composition of a circle inscribed within a square, symbolising the union of heaven and earth, stability, and power. In her right hand she holds the five-pointed star from the emblem of the Italian Republic, from which rays of light radiate into the field. The arch-shaped legend 80º ANNIVERSARIO REPUBLICA ITALIANA frames the upper portion of the design. The designer's signature S. CIUCCI appears at the lower right. |

| Reverse description | The central design features the facing portraits of three women representing three successive generations, accompanied by the five-pointed star of the Italian Republic at right, from which rays of light radiate, evoking the conquest of women's suffrage. The arch-shaped inscription DIRITTO DI VOTO (right to vote) frames the upper field, while the legends FORZA DI DONNA (strength of woman) and LUCE DI GIUSTIZIA (light of justice) arc along the left and right periphery respectively. In the lower exergue, the dates 1946 and 2026 flank a scales motif symbolising social justice, denoting the birth of the Republic and the year of the first Italian women's vote.
