Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Bishop Hermann Werner von Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht facing right, wearing ecclesiastical robes over ornate armor with richly detailed engraving, his curly hair falling to his shoulders in the late Baroque fashion. The high-relief effigy displays fine workmanship characteristic of late 17th-century German goldsmith art. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the portrait along the inner border of the coin's raised rim.
