Obverse description Armored equestrian effigy of Augustus II the Strong facing right, depicted in full armor astride a rearing horse; the king raises a baton or sword in his right hand in a commanding pose. A cannon ball or orb appears beneath the horse's hooves in the lower field. The design is executed in high relief in a baroque military style characteristic of early 18th-century Saxon-Polish coinage.
