Obverse description Central field features the sultan's honorary titles and name within a quadrilobe cartouche. Four circular rings are attached to the exterior of each lobe, dividing the surrounding marginal legend into four segments. The peripheral legend records the mint name (Astarabad/Jurjan) followed by the full date of issue written out in words in Arabic script. The overall composition follows the established Ilkhanid epigraphic style with no figural imagery.
