| Reverse description | The reverse displays the first kalima of Islam inscribed in three lines across the central field, rendered in angular Arabic script. Framing the central declaration, the names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs — Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali — are arranged in the four cardinal positions of the marginal border, reading clockwise from twelve o'clock. This layout, standard on Ilkhanid silver coinage of the period, asserts Sunni Islamic legitimacy and conforms to the canonical reverse type of the dynasty's epigraphic dirhams. |
