| Reverse description | A large crowned heart-shaped quartered shield bearing the Greater Arms of Sweden occupies the central field: the Three Crowns of Sweden appear in the first and fourth quarters, the Folkung Lion in the second and third, and the arms of the House of Vasa are superimposed upon the center as an escutcheon. The shield is surrounded by a multi-line Latin legend arranged in three lines, separated first by a beaded border and then by a single line border. The overall design reflects the dynastic and political ambitions of the Vasa monarchy in the latter sixteenth century. |
