The portrait is rendered in a medieval pictorial style with radiate lines in the background field. The word PRÓBA (trial) appears to the right of the effigy. The king's name WŁADYSŁAW II JAGIEŁŁO curves around the upper periphery, flanked by a cross and a decorative stop, with his reign dates 1386-1434 arcing along the lower right.
