Reverse description A bust of King Władysław II Jagiełło facing approximately one-quarter to the left is depicted in high relief, showing the monarch wearing an elaborate royal crown and a fur-trimmed mantle, with a sceptre or orb visible at the lower left. The legend WŁADYSŁAW II JAGIEŁŁO arcs along the upper periphery, reading from lower left to upper right. The word PRÓBA (trial/pattern) appears in the right field near the portrait. The regnal dates 1386 and 1434, denoting the beginning and end of his reign, are inscribed in two lines at the lower right of the field. The mint engraver's mark appears at the lower right of the effigy.
