| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of Sun Yat-sen at left, printed in purple-violet on a light underprint, with ornate guilloche scrollwork framing the four corners and large Chinese denomination characters 伍仟圓 at centre. Two red serial numbers appear in the upper field, flanking a central guilloche vignette, while two red seal impressions are affixed at the lower centre. The bank title 中央銀行 is inscribed at top, and the date inscription appears in a panel at the bottom border. |
