(Translation: The 24th Olympic Games Seoul Bank of Korea 1987 Five Thousand Won)
Reverse description The reverse depicts a dynamic figure of a young woman in traditional Korean hanbok dress riding a ceremonial swing (geune), a popular folk pastime celebrated during the Dano festival. Her flowing robes billow dramatically as she arcs through the air, rendered in finely detailed high relief against a polished field. To the lower left, the official emblem of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games — comprising the stylized taeguk motif above the Olympic rings — is struck in the field. The circumferential legend 'XXIV OLYMPIAD SEOUL 1988' arcs along the upper border, with the denomination '5000 WON' inscribed at the base.
