The "Jeti Qazyna" — Seven Treasures — series was conceived as an oversized showpiece program, with this 2020 issue belonging to a run of large-format silver coins Kazakhstan has used since the mid-2000s to project cultural prestige internationally. At 777.5 grams of sterling silver, production tolerances on pieces this size are notoriously difficult to maintain, and edge defects on individual specimens are not uncommon straight from the capsule.
