Reverse description The reverse features a naturalistic high-relief depiction of a Bornean Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) suspended amid dense tropical foliage, rendered with exceptional sculptural detail by engraver Leslie Durbin. The primate is shown hanging from branches surrounded by broad, finely detailed leaves that fill the upper and lateral portions of the field. The denomination Rp 5000 is inscribed in bold relief across the lower field, with the currency abbreviation Rp to the left and the numerals 5000 to the right. The composition is set against a deeply mirrored proof background, creating strong contrast between the frosted device and the polished field. The design was produced as part of Indonesia's conservation-themed commemorative series.
