| Obverse description | Centrally positioned within the field is the Garuda Pancasila, the Indonesian national emblem, depicted as a heraldic eagle with wings spread wide, bearing a quartered shield on its breast. A ribbon below the Garuda carries the national motto in incuse lettering. The legend BANK INDONESIA arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 1974 inscribed in the field below it. The motto BHINNEKA TUNGGAL IKA appears on the ribbon beneath the Garuda, rendered in fine relief against the mirror-polished proof field. |
