| Obverse description | A central vignette of the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle, set within an oval frame, occupies the middle of the note. Elaborate rococo-style guilloche scrollwork and floral ornaments frame the entire composition, with a text panel at upper left containing the authorisation inscription in Cyrillic script. The denomination ПЯТЬ ТЫСЯЧ РУБЛЕЙ is rendered in large stylised Cyrillic letterpress text to the right, with the year 1920 appearing on a ribbon cartouche at the top centre. |
