| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark blue and tan tones, with a symmetrical layout built around a central text panel framed by elaborate guilloche pillar vignettes on each side. The denomination "ПЯТЬ ТЫСЯЧ РУБЛЕЙ" (Five Thousand Roubles) is set in large bold Cyrillic letterpress type at centre, above a clause guaranteeing the note is backed by all the wealth of the Republic. Numeral "5000" appears in ornate cartouches at all four corners, and two facsimile signatures — those of the People's Commissar of Finance and the Cashier — are placed below the central text, with an anti-counterfeiting warning legend running along the lower border. |
