Obverse description Intaglio portrait of King Norodom Sihanouk at right against a multicolour guilloche underprint in green, orange, and pink, with the denomination 5000 rendered in both Khmer and Arabic numerals at lower right. A vertical naga head vignette occupies the centre-left field, flanked by two signature panels, with the bank title inscribed in Khmer script across the upper margin.

Reverse description Central intaglio vignette of the ancient laterite bridge of Kampong Kdei, Siem Reap Province, its stone piers and balustrade rendered with dense cross-hatching against a backdrop of tropical foliage. The bank title in Khmer script occupies the upper field, while the denomination in Khmer and Arabic numerals appears within an ornate scrollwork panel in the lower register, with the issuer name in Latin script and the date at upper right.
