Crescent Island — known locally as Motu Nao — is a small islet in the Tuamotu Archipelago used periodically for private and experimental economic projects. This piece is one of a handful of acrylic "coins" produced for hyper-local scrip systems that operated outside the official CFP franc economy, issued in denominations of Poa — a unit with no fixed exchange rate and no backing by any central authority.
The X# prefix in standard references denotes non-circulating or fantasy issues. Whether this piece saw any genuine transactional use remains undocumented.
