| Reverse description | The reverse presents a detailed bust of Antonio Nariño, the Colombian independence hero and first president of Cundinamarca, shown from the waist up and facing slightly left, dressed in period civilian attire with a cravat and buttoned coat. An open book or document is depicted in the lower field, referencing his role in translating and disseminating the Declaration of the Rights of Man. The inscription ANTONIO NARIÑO 1765 - 1823 appears to the right of the effigy, with the motto EL TRIUNFO DE LAS IDEAS (The Triumph of Ideas) prominently displayed in the right field.
