Obverse descriptionBlack-printed note with brown and green underprint. Guilloche pattern in left margin showing note`s value (5000). Serial number appears twice in green at lower left and upper right of bordered area. Image is the head of Hans Urmiller from Barthel Beham`s painting: `Hans Urmiller mit seinem Sohn.`
Reverse descriptionRed and brown print and ornate design over green-olive underprint. Underprint is made up of repeating hexagonal elements, each with `5000 Mark *` printed within. Anti counterfeit warning appears in the center oval. Right portion of the note, including margin-watermark area, is tinted green and has embedded, colored fibers.
