| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark green and brown tones on a yellow-beige ground, with the denomination «Fünftausend Mark» rendered in bold Fraktur script occupying the upper central field, beneath the heading «REICHSBANKNOTE» along the top border. To the right, an octagonal vignette contains a portrait of a bearded man in Renaissance dress, set against a finely worked guilloche underprint in green. The left margin carries a vertical serial number alongside two Reichsbank eagle cartouches, while the central text panel bears the payment clause, the issue date «Berlin, den 16. September 1922», the legend «Reichsbankdirektorium», and four manuscript signatures above two circular Reichsbank seal impressions. |
