Obverse description Within a raised inner circle, the three historic fortified towers of San Marino — Guaita (left), Cesta (centre), and Montale (right) — are depicted in relief, each surmounted by a decorative finial. A palm frond appears to the left of the towers and an oak branch to the right, flanking the central design. The engraver's signature U.PERNAZZA appears in the lower field beneath the inner circle. The curved legend REPVBBLICA DI arcs across the upper portion of the coin, with SAN MARINO along the lower periphery, both in Latin capitals.
