Obverse description A ceremonially adorned white elephant, regarded as a sacred symbol of royal power in Burmese tradition, occupies the central vignette against an elaborate guilloche underprint in deep crimson and violet tones. The elephant is rendered with fine intaglio detailing, its ceremonial trappings including a decorative howdah and ornamental anklets clearly delineated. Denomination numerals appear in both Western and Burmese script at the upper left and lower corners, with the bank title in Burmese script across the top panel and a vertical security thread embedded near the center.
Obverse lettering 5000 မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော်ဗဟိုဘဏ် ၅၀၀၀ ငါးထောင် ကျပ် ၅၀၀၀
(Translation: Central Bank of Myanmar Five Thousand Kyat)
Reverse description The central vignette presents a wide-angle view of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Union Parliament) complex in Naypyidaw, rendered in fine line engraving against a multicolored guilloche background of crimson, orange, and green. The sprawling neoclassical-meets-traditional Burmese architectural ensemble is shown in full elevation with its tiered rooflines and colonnaded facades. The issuer's name in Roman script and the denomination in both numeral and word form are set in bold relief panels at the top and bottom of the note respectively.
