| Reverse description | The silver centre field presents a facing three-quarter portrait of General Su Yu in military dress uniform, wearing a peaked cap adorned with a star emblem and displaying shoulder epaulettes with rank insignia. The portrait is rendered in finely modelled relief against a mirror-polished field. The brass outer ring bears the subject's birth and death dates 1907.8.10 - 1984.2.5 inscribed in the upper left arc, and his name in Chinese characters (粟裕) arranged vertically on the right arc. Three military orders or decorations are depicted in low relief along the lower portion of the brass ring. |
