| Obverse description | Central vignette at left presents a bust-length portrait of a young woman in traditional Croatian folk costume, complete with ornate headdress and embroidered attire, set within an oval frame. The denomination PET TISUĆA KUNA is inscribed in large letterpress text to the right of the portrait, above the issuer name HRVATSKA DRŽAVNA BANKA and the Zagreb date. Intricate guilloche scrollwork and rosette ornaments form the border, with the numeral 5000 repeated in the corners and at far right within a separate panel. |
