| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Cameroon occupies the central field, featuring a shield bearing a balance scale above crossed fasces, flanked by two addorsed axes and surmounted by a five-pointed star. The shield is supported by a decorative cartouche with the national motto rendered in both French and English. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 5000 FRANCS CFA is inscribed along the lower portion. The entire design is struck on a deeply domed, egg-shaped planchet with a gold-plated finish, lending the obverse a convex, highly reflective appearance. |
