The BEAC's "Tiger Hunt" series occupies an odd corner of the numismatic market — struck for a monetary union whose member states (Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and the Republic of Congo) have no indigenous tiger population whatsoever. The series is produced entirely for the collector export market, with no meaningful circulation in the CFA franc zone.
The eleventh release continues a format driven by Asian collector demand, where tiger imagery carries strong cultural currency.
