Obverse description	The national coat of arms of Côte d'Ivoire occupies the centre of the field, depicting a shield bearing an elephant head in profile, flanked on either side by a palm tree, with a rising sun rendered in high relief above the shield and a ribbon scroll below bearing the legend REPUBLIQUE DE COTE D'IVOIRE. The circular legend RÉPUBLIQUE DE CÔTE D'IVOIRE arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 2026 appearing above the shield in the upper field. The denomination 5000 FRANCS CFA is inscribed in two lines along the lower periphery, all rendered in an antique finish.

Reverse description	A dramatic ultra-high relief portrait of Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek mythology, dominates the entire field, depicted in three-quarter bust facing slightly left with flowing mane rendered in fine detail against a background of billowing clouds. The magnificent wings, spread to either side and filling the periphery of the coin, are selectively gilded in gold to create a striking two-tone contrast with the antique silver body of the horse. The designer's signature P. de Greef appears in the lower right field. The inscription HAUT RELIEF 5 OZ .999 AG is engraved along the upper left border of the field.
