Obverse description	Central field features the stylized emblem of the Banque Centrale des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest: a tall, elongated traditional West African mask rendered in high relief, flanked on either side by symbolic crossed elements with curved decorative motifs. To the left of the mask, in two lines, appear the commemorative dates '1 NOVEMBRE 1962' and '1 NOVEMBRE 1982', marking the bank's twentieth anniversary. The circular legend 'BANQUE CENTRALE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE DE L'OUEST' runs around the periphery, separated from the coin's edge by a continuous border of incuse triangular motifs. The engraver's initials 'RJ' appear at the bottom of the field.
